2023 Older Adult Initiative Resident Survey

Click here to take the survey!

During the March 2023 Aging Well in Douglas County Town Hall, participants identified the following three issues as important: resource navigation, particularly regarding property taxes; the need for affordable housing; and increased safety and security.

To gain more knowledge, Douglas County will be holding Older Adult Listening Tours.  The input from these listening tours will help us define the Older Adult Initiative Program, provide education for residents, and provide assistance to organizations in their efforts to provide a high quality of life for Douglas County older adults.

Older Adults: We want to hear from you

Are you a retired resident in Douglas County? Or do you plan to retire here? Your Board of County Commissioners wants your perspective.

A recent survey by the Colorado Area Agencies on Aging indicated 90% of Douglas County residents plan to stay here for their retirement. Your County wants to make sure you have the resources you need to do just that.

Several in-person listening tours are scheduled through July and August so you can tell us directly about the resources you need to stay vibrant and healthy right here in Douglas County. Please join us:
