Metropolitan Football Stadium District (MFSD) Fund

Youth-serving organizations in Douglas County were invited to apply for funding for youth activities programs by July 28, 2023.  Applications are in review at this time.

As one of seven Counties in the Metropolitan Football Stadium District (MFSD), Douglas County was awarded the funds late last year that, by law, must be used for youth activities programs. In late 2022, Douglas County received $939,363.21 in one-time funding.

The Douglas County Youth Initiative and the Douglas County Youth Commission will review and score the proposals and make recommendations to the Board of Douglas County Commissioners, based on the Board’s principles for funds dissemination:

Proposals are due Friday, July 28, and will be reviewed in August. Grant recipients will be notified in the fall and announced publicly in November at the annual State of the County event.

Please contact Maureen Waller, Douglas County Special Projects Manager with questions about this opportunity. She can be reached by email: [email protected] or by phone: 303-660-7424.

Application Deadlines

Funding applications were due July 28, 2023.

Approved Proposals

If you are a successful applicant for funding, you will be required to submit a W-9 and invoice or request for payment that includes: your name, address, and the total amount of funding approved. One payment will be issued via check for the entire funding amount.

Based on the amount of funds awarded, specific proposals may be required to enter into a contract. Those contracts will be sent for electronic signature via email to the named entity on the application.

All successful recipients of funds will be required to submit a report outlining the program’s success consistent with the stated requirements in the application. Photos and testimonials are highly encouraged, with appropriate approval from the legal guardians of youth participants.
