CDC COVID-19 Community Levels

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) provides a county COVID-19 Community Hospital Admissions Level to help communities decide what prevention steps to take based on the latest data. COVID-19 hospital admission levels can help individuals and communities decide which prevention actions they can take based on the level of transmission in their county.

The Community Hospital Admissions Level is updated weekly on Friday.

Colorado Wastewater Monitoring

The Colorado COVID-19 wastewater monitoring tool utilizes wastewater surveillance to track trends in COVID-19 infection by region. Wastewater testing can provide an early warning about increases or decreases in COVID-19 cases in the community. Note that not all regions in the state participate in wastewater surveillance. Douglas County has three wastewater utility districts within its boundaries participating in this surveillance. To view the data for Douglas County, select each district individually (Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, and South Platte). Additional information on wastewater surveillance in Colorado is available from the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE).
