COVID-19 Data Dashboard

The Douglas County Health Department is no longer reporting COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths. Beginning May 1, 2024, the federal government stopped requiring hospitals to report COVID-19 hospital admissions, resulting in incomplete and less reliable data. You can obtain information about COVID-19 trends from CDPHE and the CDC:

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) continues to report the number of patients currently hospitalized with COVID-19, trends in diagnosed COVID-19 based on emergency department visits (syndromic surveillance), the weekly sentinel positivity rate, and the weekly number of cases reported. Data on COVID-19 outbreaks, deaths, variants, vaccine effectiveness and  multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) are also available.

The Colorado COVID-19 wastewater monitoring tool utilizes wastewater surveillance to track trends in COVID-19 infection by region. Wastewater testing can provide an early warning about increases or decreases in COVID-19 cases in the community. Note that not all regions in the state participate in wastewater surveillance. Douglas County has three wastewater utility districts within its boundaries participating in this surveillance. To view the data for Douglas County, select each district individually (Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, and South Platte).

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports hospital admission levels and prevention steps by county in the COVID-19 County Check. Data are updated weekly.
