Lance has been the Douglas County Attorney since February 2003
Previously, Lance served in the roles of Assistant County Attorney in Douglas County, Assistant City Attorney for the City and County of Denver, and an associate attorney with Wherry & Wherry, P.C. Lance is licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, and the United States 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2004, Lance was sworn into the United States Supreme Court Bar, sponsored by the National Sheriffs’ Association Legal Advisor’s Committee.
He is a charter member of the National Sheriffs’ Association Legal Advisor’s Committee, a member of the Christian Legal Society, American Bar Association, and Colorado and Douglas County Bar Associations.
