How would you like to play an important role in planning for the future of Douglas County?

If you’re a Douglas County resident who has knowledge of land use, zoning, community planning, and growth and wishes to be engaged in the future of your home, the County seeks your willingness to apply for one of four vacancies on the Planning Commission.

Planning Commission members adopt and certify the County’s Master Plan, review and make recommendations on land use applications, conduct studies on growth and land use and recommend zoning and subdivision regulation amendments to the Board of County Commissioners.

Meetings are held on the first and third Mondays of each month and may be adjusted for holidays.

There is one vacancy in Commissioner District I, one in Commissioner District II and two in Commissioner District III.

Please apply online by Friday, March 17. For additional information, please contact the Douglas County Commissioners’ Office at 303-660-7401
