Are you a renter facing a utility shut-off because you are behind on payments due to COVID-19 financial impacts? If so, you may be eligible for assistance through the Emergency Rental Assistance Program.
Funds are available to assist qualified Douglas County residents who rent a home or apartment with arrears or future utility payments and rent through 2021. Payments will be made directly to utility providers, landlords or property managers using funds received from the U.S. Treasury Department through the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021.

The County has partnered with five local nonprofits, Catholic Charities, Douglas County Housing Partnership, Help & Hope Center, Manna Resource Center and The Rock Church to process applications and distribute payments.
