You never know which one of your neighbors or fellow community members may be in need. You can help local families this Colorado Gives Day.

Every year, Colorado Gives Day takes place on the first Tuesday in December, highlighting the importance of giving locally. The statewide celebration of philanthropy is the biggest 24-hour giving movement in the state and one of the most successful giving days in the nation. The local engine for this statewide campaign is the Douglas County Community Foundation (DCCF), which sponsors the Douglas County Gives Program to increase awareness of nonprofit organizations in our backyard.

Each year, Douglas County Gives partners with local nonprofits to build organizational capacity and support their efforts to improve the quality of life in Douglas County for all residents. These nonprofits promote philanthropy and inform residents of community needs that often go unnoticed.

This is why, on Tuesday, Dec. 5, the Board of Douglas County Commissioners approved a resolution that makes Dec. 5, 2023, Douglas County Gives Day.

If you are interested in participating in Douglas County Gives Day, visit the Douglas County Community Foundation’s webpage.
