What do animal acrobats, 4-H, and dueling pianos have in common? The 2022 Douglas County Fair and Rodeo.

New events, such as a farm to table brunch and vintage car show, join traditional favorites like the PRCA Rodeo and 4-H exhibits for this year’s fair. Whether you never miss the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo – or have never been, there’s something for everyone in 2022:

Farm to Table Brunch, Sunday, July 31. This premiere event will feature freshly prepared Colorado-grown produce and meats, live music and farm-fresh goods for purchase.

The Colorado Rib Challenge, Saturday, July 30. The Kansas City BBQ Society has sanctioned this event, which will pit 25 of the best chefs in the region against one another to see who has the smokiest, juiciest fall-off-the-bone ribs.

Axe Woman Loggers of Maine, Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31. They are some of the best in the world at chopping, sawing, logrolling and axe throwing. They will put on a showcase of athleticism like you’ve never seen before.

Dueling Pianos, Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31. Any requests? The Colorado Keys are known statewide for their high-energy, crowd-pleasing performances that include favorite hits for every generation.

1st Annual Vintage Car Show, Sunday, July 31. The classics are on display! Admire dozens of vintage vehicles, meet the owners and vote for your favorites.

Wirewood Station, Friday, Aug. 5. A Colorado favorite booked across the state and country, these musicians blend Jazz, Bluegrass and Country so skillfully you’ll understand why they were voted, “Best Acoustic Band in Colorado.”

Top Hogs, Saturday, Aug. 6 and Sunday, Aug. 7. These well-trained animal acrobats with personality entertain audiences across the country putting on a show you, your kids and older generations will enjoy together.

Barn Dance Featuring Triple Nickel Band, Saturday, Aug. 6. Grab your partner and get ready for date night while you spin your sweetheart around the dancefloor to your Country favorites.

Your Fair Board and its team are also working to secure a top-notch performer for opening night, Friday, July 29. You can expect an announcement for that in the coming days.

As the planning continues, stay up to date with this year’s exciting developments on the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo web page, where a specific schedule will also be posted.
