Signing and Striping Plan for US 85 / Titan Interchange
Prior to construction, Douglas County worked with CDOT to get final environmental approval and other CDOT access permits to allow the County to widen the northbound US 85 on-ramp and restripe Titan Road over US 85. Douglas County’s consultant also performed a subsurface utility engineering investigation and determined which major utility companies needed to relocate their facilities before construction of widening the northbound ramp could occur.
The Board of County Commissioners approved a construction contract with Kraemer North America on July 26, 2022 for this project from Titan Parkway to northbound US Highway 85. This project will improve safety and traffic operations for the on-ramp, which is located near the Roxborough and Sterling Ranch subdivisions.
Construction started on August 18, 2022, and is expected to be substantially completed before the end of the year (2022).
