Project Update

Update (July 1, 2022): Joint Sealing adjacent to Bike Lanes in Highlands Ranch – Project has been completed.

Improvements will result in safer and smoother ride quality for motorists and bicyclists and will help to preserve the existing road surface.

Description

Joint sealing is the maintenance operation performed to protect and prolong the life of concrete roads. Material is placed in between the concrete expansion joints to stop the infiltration of water into the subbase, which can cause the road to deteriorate. These repairs will result in a safer and smoother ride quality for motorists and help preserve the existing road surface.
