Project Update

Updated August. 16, 2023

Inverness Drive South bridge was re-opened on Thursday, August 10, 2023, however, the contractor still has to finish the final placement of polymer concrete on the bridge deck on (date TBD) in September. The moisture content of the bridge deck is critical for the correct placement of the polymer concrete top layer.

Description

In 2020, Douglas County repaired cracks on the Inverness Drive South bridge over Cottonwood Creek. Further safety inspections revealed the need to design and construct permanent repairs to the bridge surface.

During construction, a road closure occurred on the Inverness Drive South Bridge from July 5 – August 10, 2023. This closure was used to safely complete construction of Inverness Drive South, just east of Inverness Way.
