Project Update

Asphalt Paving has been completed as of October 3, 2022*.

*All Dates are subject to change.

During 2022, Daniels Park Road between Highway 85 and W. Castle Pines Parkway will be repaved as part of the County’s annual street maintenance program.

The project is anticipated to be completed in fall 2022, in order for:

  • CDOT to complete the installation of the traffic signal planned for the intersection of Daniels Park Road and US Highway 85 during 2023.
  • And, in advance of any other area construction that may occur prior to the PGA Golf event in 2024.

Alternative Route: Monarch Blvd to Castle Pines Pkwy to Lagae Rd to Happy Canyon Rd – this will avoid the construction zone in Castle Pines.

Work will be done in two phases – the first phase consists of rotomilling to remove some of the top layer of asphalt. The second phase follows rotomilling by 1 to 2 weeks and includes new overlay. See “Project Update” section (above) for specific dates.

During construction, access to driveways is allowed, with occasional short delays.

A few days before the start of work, Variable Message Boards will be placed to notify drivers of the planned construction.

Construction will occur Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

See “Project Update” section above.
