If you are selling or buying a car, or need other motor vehicle services in Castle Rock in May, please plan ahead.

From Monday, May 9, through Wednesday, May 18, in-person service at the Castle Rock Motor Vehicle office on Wilcox Street will be temporarily relocated to the Highlands Ranch and Lone Tree Motor Vehicle office locations. This temporary relocation is necessary to maintain services during the replacement of old and damaged carpet at the Castle Rock Motor Vehicle office. Service at the Castle Rock Express Driver License office will not be impacted.

Many motor vehicle transactions can be completed online. Skipping the trip to the DMV is recommended during this service relocation. Visit mydmv.colorado.gov to complete your motor vehicle transaction.

Drivers can also renew their vehicle registration at self-serve MVExpress kiosks located at six Douglas County King Soopers stores. The kiosk will provide your registration renewal and license plate sticker on the spot. You can also use a kiosk to check the status of a vehicle’s title, request a duplicate registration card, or request a replacement sticker. Visit DouglasDrives.com for kiosk locations and additional information.

If you need in-person assistance, please schedule an appointment at the Highlands Ranch or Lone Tree Motor Vehicle office locations by visiting DouglasDrives.com, or by calling 303-660-7440. Appointments are also recommended when in-person service resumes at the Castle Rock Motor Vehicle office beginning on Thursday, May 19.
