Open Prayer / Invocation

Citizens who are leaders of an organized group or congregation that regularly meets in Douglas County now have an opportunity to deliver an invocation, up to 2 minutes in duration, at the Commissioners’ Business Meetings, on the second or fourth Tuesday of each month.

The invocation is intended to solemnize the occasion of the meeting and shall neither proselytize nor advance any one faith or belief, nor disparage any other. Neither shall invocations establish a particular religion as the sanctioned nor official religion of the Board of Douglas County Commissioners.  To submit interest, complete the form below.
