Multi-Purpose Barn

The Douglas County Fairgrounds’ Multi-Purpose Barns are not your ordinary barns! This single structure offers two distinct spaces, available for rent either separately or together. This climate-controlled venue is perfect for hosting trade shows, animal exhibits, and meetings.

North Barn Information

The Multi-Purpose Barns are self-service facilities, what does 'self-service facility' mean?

In the the Multi-Purpose Barns, event holder responsibilities include:

  • Set-up and tear down of chairs & tables
  • Providing table clothes, plates, drink wear, silverware, extension cords, tape, etc. The fairgrounds does not provide event supplies.
  • Cleaning. Event Holder is responsible for returning space to pre-event conditions, including cleaning the bathrooms (located in the Large Animal Barn across a breezeway), kitchen and event hall. (cleaning supplies are available on-site). For an additional fee, cleaning services can be provided by a outside contractor – ask for pricing.
  • Decoration placement will need to be pre-approved by Fairgrounds staff – 30-days prior to event.
  • Securing liability insurance that covers the event and Douglas County.
  • All permits and certificates required for events in Douglas County.

Rental Rates for the Multi-Purpose Barns

Standard Rate: $200 per section / day
Adjusted Rate: $150 per section + surcharges / day (those events charging vendor or admission fees)
Non-Profit Rate: $100 per section + surcharges / day

Security Deposit: $100
